Job Summary:

Camden’s internship program provides an exceptional gateway into one of the nation’s top multi-family management organizations.  Camden will immerse each intern in the daily operations of our premier communities.  Interns will be paired with an outstanding property management team to achieve our comprehensive internship learning objectives.  Each intern will have an opportunity to learn all facets of on-site operations, from company-wide initiatives to community procedures.  Interns will gain valuable experience in all aspects of property management including:

  • Must be full-time student enrolled in College or University; cumulative GPA of 2.7 or higher
  • Sales, customer focused, and management minded individual with attention to detail is required
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

And here’s the fine print HR wants you to know:

  • Job is intermittently sedentary but requires mobility (i.e., climb stairs) to tour, show, and inspect apartments on a daily basis
  • Will use some repetitive motion of hand-wrist in using computer and writing
  • Must have normal range of vision to complete applications, leases, general paperwork and handle computerized bookkeeping duties; hearing and speech to communicate with residents, vendors, supervisors and coworkers on the telephone or in person on a regular basis
  • Must handle stressful, urgent, novel and diverse work situations on a daily basis
  • Emotional stability and personal maturity are important attributes in this position
  • Works in a typical office setting with daily exposure to outdoor environment (i.e., heat, cold, damp, rain, etc.) when touring community
  • Hazards can be avoided with proper lifting techniques, SDS and general safety training
  • Will be regularly called upon to work long hours and odd schedules (including weekends)
  • Position requires periodic travel by automobile to handle work-related activities
  • May require airline travel, out-of-town and /or overnight trips 
  • Attendance and punctuality is essential for success in this position
